The Story...chapter three

The young family of four
moved into their cottage
and started to make it a home.
They painted, they remodeled the kitchen,
they redid the bathrooms added some new carpet,
rehung new windows, added new trim...let's just say that
there was NOT one room in the little cottage
that went untouched!

They loved their little cottage
on Walcott Street but
deep down in their hearts
was a desire to have a little
plot of land way out in the country.

One day last fall
the Lord blessed them with
the desire of their hearts...
a little plot of land way out in the country.
And, on this little plot of
land was an adorable country cottage.

Now, this family knew that
the Lord had blessed them
BUT
they were about to receive
an amazing and very unexpected blessing!

The Story...chapter two

Now... while Bryan and Krista were
happily growing up in the Midwest
there was a young family of four who
lived on the east coast.

The daddy was a submarine officer and
the mommy stayed home with her
two sweet baby girls.

The daddy really liked being a submarine officer
and worked really (REALLY) hard.
His job would keep him away from home
much of the time.
When he was out at sea he
would miss his girls so very much!

He made the decision to
resign his commission with the Navy,
talking a job with a company in southwest Michigan
(of all places)

Let's just say the mommy of said young family
wasn't very happy as she wanted to move
back to Montana the place her and the daddy once called home.
Or atleast back to the south
 because it's warm down there.

On the day they arrived in their new town
it was cold, windy and SNOWING

They got right down to buisness looking for a new home
keeping in mind that one of the little girls
wanted a pink room.

They found a cute little cottage
 in need of some T L C
AND
a pink room!

The Story...chapter one

Once upon a time
there was a boy named Bryan
and a girl named Krista.

Bryan and Krista grew up in a cute little town
in southwest Michigan.

They went to the same high school
and after graduating
Bryan went this way
and
Krista went that way.

They liked going this way
and that way.
But...after awhile they both
came back to that familiar place called home.

Home is where they found each other
and began to date

Then...

They fell in love

THEN...

They got married!

An Amazing Winter Wonderland Kind of Day

Yesterday was one of those
amazing winter wonderland kind of days.

I got up early with the cute engineer
and took a walk through the woods.
The scenery took my breath away
It was so beautiful.

So, later that morning after the sun came up
Libby and I went for another walk
around the woods
and this time I brought my camera.

Libby, you be the leader

Any one up for a picnic?

I can see the cottage

Hope you have an amazing day!

Working Together

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

How was your week end?
Ours was

WONDERFUL

The cute engineer and I
spent part of Saturday
stacking wood.

That little stack took
 A LONG TIME

and

we feel like we didn't even
make a dent in the pile

Why did we move and stack wood?

Well,

We wanted to crank up the wood stove
to see if it really would heat the cottage

Of course our little gardening buddy
was there to help...

UNTIL

She was put in
Scottie Jail
for visiting the house
across the street without permission.

We rang in the new year
watching Band of Brothers
with Jen

We woke up on Monday
with a little snow on the ground.
Let me tell ya...
It is

B E A U T I F U L!!!

Thanks to
our little stove in the woods
 the cottage is toasty warm!

I've been pondering the past year
and wondering about the changes that will come
with the new year.

I am so thankful
that our
AMAZING
God
is the same God of yesterday
the same God  today
and will be the same God  tomorrow!

Have a great day
