The cute engineer came home Friday evening
with BIG plans for the evening.
Now,
don't get to excited
like I did.
His plans were...
to rake the back yard.
I knew the backyard
needed a good rake'n
especially since the city is
planning on a pick up day this week,
but
I thought we would take care of that task
on Saturday.
My plans were foiled by
weather.com
There was rain on the way!
and with rain in the picture
the cute engineer was on a mission.
Sooooo, we gathered the necessary tools...
rake
tarp
gloves
and we could not forget
(even if we wanted to)
Libby, our gardening buddy.
Out we went...
Libby was such a big help!
Hahaha
all she wanted to do was play ball!
We raked and raked
and took trip after trip
hauling leaves to the front.
I am happy to say...
IT'S DONE
YAY!!!
Now, we can plant some more bulbs.

It was so windy here the last two days. My yard looks like a sea of pine needles. I told The Man, at least they're orange. (hehe) They match the season. :)

Just found your blog. Enjoyed reading your daily thoughts. So sorry you had to rake the yard instead of a date night. I am afraid that raking the leaves is a job during this time of year that could never end.
