An Amazing Winter Wonderland Kind of Day

Yesterday was one of those
amazing winter wonderland kind of days.

I got up early with the cute engineer
and took a walk through the woods.
The scenery took my breath away
It was so beautiful.

So, later that morning after the sun came up
Libby and I went for another walk
around the woods
and this time I brought my camera.

Libby, you be the leader

Any one up for a picnic?

I can see the cottage

Hope you have an amazing day!

  1. Hi Nancy, I loved these photos-so glad you have the winter wonderland and not us-I'm really enjoying a dry winter. What type of dog is Libby? She almost looks like a schnauzer but I'm not sure. Hope you are able to enjoy the white stuff and stay warm.
    Hugs, Noreen

  4. What a sweet doggie! :) I had a Scottie dog when I was a little girl. Her name was Heather. I love your new cottage. Doesn't the snow make it look even more wonderful? We finally got our snow, didn't we. Wonder how much more we will get before winter bids us farewell? I am guessing a lot! Hee hee. Have a great night!

  5. I took my Scottie, Maggie back to Denver last year and she got to play in the snow. She loved it!!! Every time she would come in she would be covered in snowballs and I would have to give her a warm bath. What do you do when they are there all the time?

  7. Nancy, the ironing board cover was surprisingly easy. I found the instructions on Pinterest. I repinned it this morning for you with a comment that says, "Nancy, this is for you."
I spent $3 on fabric at Wal-mart, It takes 2 yards. It also took a packet of 1/8" elastic. I pieced together a new pad from an old towel and sewed it to the cover on the "nose" end to prevent slipping. I also sewed those two pieces together for a couple inches on the other end.
The only thing I did differently than the Pinterest instructions was to cut the fabric more generously on the "nose" end.
I am delighted to know how to make ironing board covers so I can have one that's actually attractive! It seems that the ironing board has become a piece of bedroom furniture in our house.
I hope all is well with you all...............Denise

  9. Nancy, all of that white makes me go "brrrrrr." Looks just so peaceful and beautiful and Miss Libby looks like she is in full motion trugging through the snow. Aren't scotties just wonderful? They seem to like the cold weather.

  10. Oh my Nancy as you dig your way out from under all that white stuff I sip my tea at a beaming 59 right now, still cool for her but will take mine to yours any day, we left Michigan in 1970 to get away from all that cold and snow, never regreted it either, I do love the South. Hugs my friend and thanks for stopping by and saying hello too. Blessings to you and yours
