From this to this...

We went from this...

To this...

To this....

The cute engineer and I just got home from taking Jen to
Liberty University.
Her new home away from home.

as we pulled away I did shed a few tears
but most of them where tears of joy!
She has worked so hard to get where she is
and we are soooooooo proud of her!!!

Jen, my prayer for you is that you will continue to love
the LORD your God with all your heart,
with all your mind, with all your soul
and with all your strength.

and on those days that get a little tough remember
that He has plans to prosper you and not to harm you,
plans to give you hope and a future.

Love you sweet girl!
now...go hit those books ;)

  1. Nancy,
That makes ME want to bawl!!! I have also had to take 3 "babies" to college and every time I tend to make a scene with tears!! My heart is with you as you are happy and yet lonely for her. I truly understand and will pray for you and Jen as she starts this new and exciting time. I have missed you!!! :( Very glad you are back....Hope all is well and you are having fun and relaxing days.

  2. All best wishes as you embark on this season of change.

  3. Nancy, Your post made me teary-eyed. Jen's posts on Facebook show that she's having a good time. I hope she and Maria's friend will be able to get acquainted sometime.
There is much to be said for an empty nest, although it can be a time of grief as well.
May the Lord open up some wonderful creativity for you.

  4. That is so sweet, and my prayers are with you now, and pray that she has learned all you taught her through the years, hugs, Barbara

  5. Nancy, I was glad to see your comment. We found a house today that I really liked. The asking price is a bit over our budget, but we might make an offer anyway. I will post about it on tomorrow's blog.
To answer your question about the peaches, I will do what I always do with peaches. I will can them in plain water with a little lemon juice added to keep them from turning brown. I'm guessing they will be ready on Saturday.
