A New Day

Today is a new day! The sun is shining, the birds are singing and God's mercies are new. My heart is about to beat right out of my chest...I just want to praise Him. The Holy Spirit was all over the worship service this morning...I mean all over it! I couldn't help but think of this verse...

"Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy,"
1 Peter 1:8

This afternoon my family and I will be attending the memorial service of my sweet neighbor's son. I am humbled at how God has brought family and friends together to lift each other up whether it is with a hug, a tear, a smile, remembering the good times or a message left on a computer.

I am thankful to have been a witness to this and I want to thank you all for your prayers and sweet comments.

  2. I came to visit to check on your neighbor. She's been in my thoughts and prayers. Please tell her that I feel her sorrow so many miles away without even knowing her or her son, so I can NOT imagine how difficult this is for her and all of you. I'm so sorry. Truly.
Still now, tears. Just sadness. I know he is rejoicing with our Lord in HEaven, but it's still such a sadness that I feel for your neighbor and mom. Praying.

Would you have a verse for me to give to her to comfort her and bring her peace?
